21st

What a special day.

Other than the two large and one small candles on my cake...

Today was special because I felt God's abiding presence as I enter into this new chapter of my life - adulthood.

He first guided me through my class presentation, which went alright. so thank God. And then later, He blessed me with the fellowship of brethren through a pleasant surprise after BS! Thanks guys, cos just when I thought my day's gonna end like any other ordinary day, you guys brought smiles to my face. At that moment, though it was just a simple 'celebration', I felt so blessed and special.

And then, God also personally taught me a lesson on life (and death). Today was special also because it was the first time I attended a condolence service. I know that this could not simply be a coincidence. Just as I was making such a fuss over my 21st, a life could go just like that. When I think about the fragility of life, I find that a 21st birthday pales in comparison. 二十一岁了,又怎样?I realised that what matters most is that at the end of your life, you are still in the Lord. And perhaps at that time we can call for a celebration, celebrating your whole life having abide by God. I reckon God was telling me to look beyond all these that can be seen by the eyes, and to look into what is really significant and important, and worthy of my pursuit. I want to pursue after Him. Because I know that He wil help me through all things. Definitely will help me through my test and projects which are all due next week. And definitely open a way of salvation for my family. I just need to listen out more to Him and to receive instructions from Him.

Thank God for a special day. For teaching me the important concept that it is simply another day. But yet at the same time showered me with grace and blessings.

I had a great time on sunday too (:
